Growing Pains takes you on a journey of rediscovering your spark and reconnecting with your inner child.
Like pieces of a story, the works begin by reflecting on childhood, depicting vibrant nostalgic memorabilia in oil-paint, then moving onto adolescence, highlighting much moodier and darker themes.
This exhibition aims to ultimately complete a journey in a full circle moment - an adult reconnecting to their inner child. The works developed for this exhibition have been created to instill feelings of joy, hope, and nostalgia through their whimsical dreamlike style, touches of vibrant neon, and plays of light.
