A group exhibition of local Ipswich artists who have been exploring notions of the human condition through the lens of childhood, growth and change.
As children, we tend to imagine that when we reach adulthood our personality and interests become set and stable, but the truth is that the human condition is one of continual growth and change.
When we grow up sets out to examine this through the experiences of local Ipswich artists who explore the circumstances that have been a catalyst for their changing life stages.
When We Grow Up is curated by Rebekah Walkarden and shows new works by artists Lyn Haddon, Belle Kent, Clare Poppi, Kate Roberts and Elsie Salkeld.
Where is the Ipswich Community Gallery?
The Community Gallery is located in d’Arcy Doyle Place in a separate building to the Ipswich Art Gallery. The entrance to the Community Gallery building is on the corner of Limestone & Nicholas Streets (opposite the Ipswich Civic Centre).
