Cynthia Copley & Amy Stapleton
This exhibition explores a visual conversation between two local artists, Cynthia Copley and Amy Stapleton. Two friends communicating through their unique visual language about their connection to Ipswich and surrounding regions. The artists present an interesting dynamic through their artistic interpretations of the same location.
Stapleton, having a background in photography and graphic design has a strong design influence on her work and captures the landscape through representational drawing and layers of mixed media.
Copley is predominantly an alla prima oil painter and her work is representational with expressionist influences.
