Join our Craft Circle for Residue + Response: Tamworth Textile Triennial!
Join our craft circle to meet, talk, and contribute a knitted or crocheted yellow square to a community engaged artwork, Conversation Piece by Kate Just. This work celebrates women’s histories of crafting textiles together around the world. This is a chance to enjoy time making together.
Add your piece of woven creation to a giant, communally knitted and crocheted yellow length of fabric that will travel around Australia as part of Residue + Response: Tamworth Textile Triennial.
Participants will meet in the Ipswich Art Gallery foyer.
Skill level: All Welcome. This workshop is suitable for beginners.
Materials: Needles and wool supplied. If you would like to use your own needles, make sure they are between 3mm and 9mm in diameter.
