Bronwyn Sargeson is an artist who reimagines medical procedures and interventions, seeking to transform the experiences of a wounded body into moments of queer joy, wonder and playful exploration through material innovation.

Primarily working with glass, Bronwyn was raised in Canberra, Ngunnawal/Ngambri country and completed a Bachelor of Visual Art (2021) at the Australian National University’s School of Art and Design. Bronwyn has since been an artist in residence at Canberra Glassworks (2022) and a finalist in multiple national awards including the Fuse Glass Prize (2022), Woolhara Small Sculpture prize (2025) and won first prize in the Brunswick Street Gallery 50x50 (2024). They have exhibited in multiple group exhibitions nationally and regularly assist local and international professional artists. Alongside their collaborator Niamh Armstrong, they run Horseshoe Gallery (2024 – current), a multi-site Artist Run Initiative. With this project, they curate exhibitions, collaborate and liaise with artists. Bronwyn currently lives in Meanjin, Brisbane and works at The Institute of Modern Art.
