Architectural Layers: New Work by Grant Quinn

Through the lens of photography, Grant Quinn focuses his first solo exhibition, Architectural Layers, on documenting the aesthetic reverence in the work of renowned Ipswich Architect George Brockwell Gill.

Revelling in the contribution Brockwell Gill has made to the built environment of Ipswich, Quinn identifies six significant buildings for closer inspection. Examining each unique structure, Quinn encourages the audience to appreciate their everyday surroundings in a new light. Committed to revealing nuances in his subject matter, Quinn captures the presence and intricate details of each building by drawing references and parallels between shape, material and form.
