Ipswich Art Workshop is an accessible and welcoming multi-use, hands-on workspace, open to supporting a variety of arts-based initiatives.
As a Council-owned venue available for hire, Ipswich Art Workshop provides opportunities for creatives and arts organisations to forge connections within community through a variety of innovative and diverse visual arts projects.
Applications are now open for Artist Residencies and Workshops & Meetups:
- Available between March 2025 and June 2025
- 21 February – Applications Open
10 March – Applications CloseEXTENDED TO 16 MARCH due to TC Alfred
15 March – Successful applicants notifiedEXTENDED TO 21 MARCH

Application resources
Assessment Criteria
- Clarity - Clear and cohesive proposal outlining proposed planning and outcomes
- Innovation - High level of aesthetic values and understanding
- Quality - Examples of work or programming that demonstrates experience in producing safe and high-quality outcomes
- Curatorial - Relevance to community interests, other concurrent exhibitions or city events programming
- Diversity - Preference will be given to applicants who have not hired the Workshop in the past EOI round
